The Rachel Donelson Chapter is committed to education, as are the National and State Societies. As such, there are many scholarships available through these groups.

All applicants must be citizens of the United States and must attend an accredited college or university in the United States. All applicants must obtain a letter of sponsorship from their local DAR chapter. The State Chairman of DAR Scholarships will assist in locating the nearest chapter. In Missouri, contact Mrs. Carole Temple Farmer. In addition, letters of recommendation are required from the principal, guidance counselor, and three teachers.

Awards are placed on deposit with the college or university; any unused portion shall be returned to the National Society. Awards are judged on academic excellence, commitment to field of study, and financial need. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified.
